新加坡作家协会会长、著名华人作家、文艺评论家、收藏家周颖南先生誉之为“神形毕肖，诚为不可多得的佳构，令人叹为观止。”国内知名媒体刊登了作者临本，称之为“其形神之兼备实乃海内第一，倘右军再世，必当开颜一笑，若世民重生，亦当引为知音”，誉作者为当代的“兰亭圣手”。

YEAR 2006--2009

★2006年北京“盛世和谐嘉华杯海内外中国书画艺术大赛”荣获金奖，并获“国际金奖艺术家”称号。

★2007年，绍兴博物馆及兰亭博物馆分别收藏了作者手临《兰亭集序》。并应邀出席第23届中国兰亭书法节。

★2008年临作参加了全国政协举办的纪念王羲之诞辰1705周年名人书画展，及北京荣宝斋迎春书画展；作品被北京奥组委收藏。

★2009年捐赠作品入选了中华慈善总会在首都博物馆举办的纪念汶川地震一周年慈善爱心书画艺术交流展。

★2010年“时代楷模--共和国经济建设杰出贡献人物”活动中，获『书画艺术金奖』荣誉。

Calligrapher Gao Weizhong and his Art

Gao Weizhong

Gao Weizhong is a professional calligrapher born in 1944.He is hosting the Artisrtoom of Heart Dedication. He is both amember of the Association of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters and the Friendship Union of Chinese Calligrapers andPainters.

When he was young, he had an interest in calligraphy and began to practice the art. He is a master of various styles of Chinese calligraphy, and especially excellent at Xing and Caoscript. Xing script is more abstract, though still legible. Caoscript, or grass script has the most artistic freedom and is leastlegible. Kai script is closest to official Chinese script, very clearly written. His style is that of Wang Xizhi of Dong Jin Dynasty, who was the founder of Xing script.

Gao Weizhong's ability is impressive: he not only uses a short brush, but the speed of his brush works quiet fast. His calligraphy is a good demonstration for the strength of his brush running, and is very changeable His works are often published in calligraphy newspapers and magazines. He has received many awards at calligraphy literature both home and abroad. His works are collected by museums as well as literature and historical preservation centers. Furthermore, famous people in Japan, Hong Kong, South-Eats Asia, and other countries all have collected Gao Weizhong's works.
